Hi,
I'd like to scan an old computer manual and put it as a pdf file. The
problem is that it takes too much space (about 70 MB). How is it possible to
take less space without OCRing it ? What parameters do you use with acrobat
to have a small file but still with good quality ?
Thanks
Charles

You can't. You're saving it as a load of JPEG images. Did you consider
trying an Acrobat newsgroup?

The only way to save on file space when creating a PDF Image Only file
is to adjust the resolution of the scanner e.g. 200dpi instead on
300dpi.

As putting it through Capture in order to create a PDF Normal file only
takes a few seconds, I'm not sure why you don't want to do this.
