So, all the copies of Leni Riefenstahl's _Olympia_ were rented out?

I've still got to watch the second half of KILLER'S MOON - I struggled too.

It's like the CONFESSIONS version of CARRY ON SCREAMING, or something.

I only NIGEL-ed it because I had a vague recollection of Alan Jones
recommending it. But after watching it, I went rummaging through my
library to find his piece on it, only to discover that he thinks it's
ABSOLUTE TOILET. And BY JOVE he's RIGHT.

Here, has anyone else ever spotted the young Bobby Rhodes in this one?

We spent the whole picture looking out for him, but couldn't determine
which GEOFF HOON he might be. "They all look the same in the dark"

I never knew how I never knew French. Anyhoo, a quick look into IMDB
reveals....

"Philip Glass composed an opera perfectly synchronized to the film.
The original soundtrack was eliminated, and he composed the opera to
be performed along with the film projected behind the orchestra and
voice talent. The compact disc recording of Glass' "La Belle et la
Bête" can be played alongside the film with a very similar effect."

Really the only reason I would care to see it again. I know, it's
hard to assume an affected disdain of everything with being dressed
like an 1890's dandy with an over sized hankie and a snuff box, but I
thought I'd give it a go.

I had to read up on that one. Wasn't there a remake with Tom Hanks a
few years back?

Er yes, because the only thing that could sex up a French black-and-
white art-house movie is an opera by Phillip Glass.

You missed his lesser known work of the nineties, when he was known as
Proffesor G-funk. I'm surprised how many people have *not* heard his
collaborations with NWA, such as "Funk You", "The 'ole P snatch", and
the very personal, "Every Sunday I Wanna Kill A Cop."

Crap. _Les yeux sans visage_ I will call by its original French title,
'cause, like I said, I hate the Billy Idol association with _Eyes Without
A Face_. Insofar as I can recollect, that's the only non-U.S. film to which
I refer only by its original non-English-language title (unless you count
stuff like, say, _La Dolce Vita_, which I don't think anyone *ever* calls
"The Sweet Life"). Walpurgis calls his movies by the original titles because
he's always trying to trick people into thinking that his cinematic diet is
NOT 90% cheap sleazy gore films.
