Isn't he a TV repairman? Can't trust them - they're all evil.
In this age of disposable LCD TVs, do they even exist any more?

THE TWONKY (1953)
HALLOWEEN III – The whole plot hinges on a signal buried in a tv ad.
Of course the jingle used in the ad is itself enough to make a
person’s head blow up. “Three more days to Halloween, Halloween,
Halloween…..”

And no one thought of this already? I can't believe it.

If there's a nuclear winter, at least it'll snow.
Is it as execrable as its reputation? Should I perhaps nigel a copy for
evaluation?
The Ring. Maybe not old enough?

I haven't seen it in ages, but it seems like I didn't much care for it.
Others here may have a different opinion. But you can't call yourself a
horror fan if you haven't seen it at least once.
Just don't accidentally get a hold of that Nicolas Cage movie, "Season
of the Witch." Even you deserve better than that.

Do so, and you might just fall in-love with it! It's a "guilty
pleasure" fave of mine (but should never have used the HALLOWEEN
name)!

No, it's good.
its considered BETTER than the rest of the series by some of us in here...i
just wish they would release a decent print of it.
Although didn't Carpenter intend a loose series of fillums with the notion of
"Halloween" tying them all together?
I'm probably talking tosh here.

It's the best film in that franchise by a country mile.

I'm not generally a slasher fan but the first one was oodles of fun. Still
makes me jump occasionally.
No, I remember reading that.

Ha! Like the American Godzilla movie. I think monster fans would have
loved that if they hadn't called it "Godzilla."
--
Kishin
if your expecting a slasher film or anything to do with the rest of the
halloween films you will be very much disappointed.....
no...i dont think there was much hope for that.
The premise is kind of ridiculous, but if you can get past that, it’s
pretty darn good. Some nice creepy moments and the leads acquit
themselves well. Kind of an old fashioned idea - hence the script
credited iirc to (Knock Off) Nigel Kneale – filtered through an 80s
horror sensibility. It’s my favorite entry in the Halloween series
too. Definitely worth a look to decide for yourself.
My copy of the dvd is signed by Tom Atkins, so there!
I rather liked it. It was very tacky, but fun.
Yup, that one sucks no matter which way you slice it. :P If they had
called it something else we'd just be referring to it as "that really
shitty giant iguana movie".
Not to my knowledge, but that doesn't mean it isn't so.
Agreed.
Well, that and the removal of Ferris Bueller.
He was always a handsome addition to a Carpenter film..
Agreed. Although my favorite of his many roles is the one in Night Of
The Creeps. "Thrill me."
Yes, I loved that film.

Eh, after the day I've had, bugs and shit pouring out of my brain doesn't
seem like a biggie.
Is that the one with the quotation, "Martians ... Diddling the women of the

No, it isn't.
It's better than _Halloween II_. That's about the best you can say about it.
