Woohoo! Digital art and all that...

Won an eBay auction tonight for a drawing tablet. It's not
exactly top of the line, but it's about $au150 worth, and I'm only
paying $78 for it. I have been wanting one of these for many years.
it will make my attempts at digital art (ie. fucking around with
photos and hamfisted cartooning) much easier, and hopefully much
better. I'm like a little kid at Christmas, waiting for it to arrive
in the post...

Been using a Wacom for years now. They're fantastic. Very very good
used the way you'd use a mouse. I use it for audio editing as well as
line art. IT's a great way to move around Photohop and Illustrator.
Wouldn't have my home set-up without it.

I have a friend who's used a bondi blue Wacom tablet with his Mac for
years . . . as a mouse.

Feels far more natural to use something that has the feel of a pen, Matron.
True, though, I'm sure I curtailed a threat of rsi with my tablet (that
could be one for the matron too, come to think of it).
