I know there's a joke in here, but my poor memory fails me. Would you
mind enlightening me?

Forgive me! Brichester is my equivalent of Arkham, which I invented at August Derleth's urging. It's the central town of the area where the tales in THE INHABITANT OF THE LAKE AND OTHER UNWELCOME TENANTS are set. I wonder if getting a loan from the Warrington firm requires an invocation or even stranger things...

Ah, thanks for clearing that up. I'm pretty sure I've read that one, but
it's been many years. Sadly I had to greatly cull my library a year ago
and lost many dear books.

I have also misplaced many books but I still have my Arkham House tomes including Inhabitant of the Lake, The Dark Man,
web of Easter Island, Deep Waters, and Lovecraft's Collected poems as well as the 4 reprint volumes of Lovecraft from the early 60s that I bought with my pittance of an income at that time. Unfortunately I am unable to locate my book club edition of Night in the Lonesome October and it doesn't seem to be available on the Kindle or anywhere else.
