I dig the groovy outfit that Lin Carter is wearing in this photo:

How cool would it have been to have been there in person?

I was, and was privileged to listen to many veterans of the field. Quite a few became friends of mine.

Nice Ramsey, nice :)

But there is no way those photos were taken this century. I just took
out my Patti Perret"Faces of Science Fiction" and for instance, at
page ... well there are no page numbers ... the photo of L. Sprague
and Catherine Crook De Camp , L. Sprague is *older* in that photo than
this one on flickr, and Perret's magnificent book was published in
1984. And, Frank Belknap Long looks like a wizened, hairy pixey/gnome
in Perret's book - I would date these pictures as mid-70s at the
latest.

Excellent photos of the old luminaries nevertheless. Thank you sir.

Ah - they're identified on the album but not individually. They're all from the first World Fantasy Convention in Providence in 1975.

I had no problem guessing the decade, thanks to Mr Carter's attire.
