Thanks to your help a few years ago, I bought a Casio GW-300 2608
atomic watch. It fitted my specifications exactly. What I must have is
the ability to see clock time when I am in the stopwatch mode.

The first time the battery got low, I went to a Casio store at Union
Station in DC. I left the watch with the lady there, but she CLAIMED
the crooked O-ring was defective but that she could special order one
for $55, more than the $50 I paid for the watch. I should have reported
her, but I simply paid for the replacement battery and left.

Problem is that the watch is not at all waterproof and actually fogs up
easily.

So I just bought a new one. Now *its* battery is dying. I tried to find
a new one using Google, but all I could find are used ones. I don't
want to do that, since their batteries may also be dying.

I am looking at
Casio Men's WV58A-1AVCR Waveceptor Atomic Digital Watch

but I'm not sure whether I can read clock time when using the
stopwatch.

The price is right, $27.41, is right!

So what do y'all say?

WV58A probably has got the same movement as WV58E. It is model 3053.
You may read manual:
http://www2.casio.co.jp/manual_pdf/wat/en/download.php/qw3053.pdf

BTW - when you change display mode of WV58A to stopwatch, clock time is
displeyed in upper window (h:m:s), and stopwatch readings are displayed in
main window.

hope this helps with decision

PS- Casio usually designates watches for European market with the letter E,
and for American market with A

Look for an Autograph wrist watch. I have had one for many years with
no problems, except replacing the little battery every year or two.
