I am a VERY amateur hobbyist who paints landscapes with oil paint on
canvas (wet on wet technique). My wife wants me to paint a sky and
wooded field scene on a wall in our nursery (supposed to be forty-acre
woods). Any suggestions on wall prep, kind of paints and brushes etc.
to use?
Any help appreciated.
Thanks,
Joe Weaks

One suggestion:
Instead of painting the wall, why not get some sheeting from a fabric
store and stretch that onto a large frame. It comes in 108 inch
widths so you'll be getting the "whole wall" effect, but you have the
option of moving the mural or changing the decor without destroying
the work.

Also, the media (canvas like vrs hard wall) will likely be more
familliar to you.

Good luck!

Have dry-erase and chalkboard paint, if you want to encourage
your child to write on the walls... Otherwise, I sort of like
the magnetic paint under-coat concept...
