The arab street is demanding that their leaders take action and attack
Israel. This is not new, but the intensity has been kicked up a notch
or two recently.

Thanks to a botched US foreign policy - courtesy of the Secretary of
State being on an extended 4-year round-the-world vacation (and also not
having any balls - because the Secretary is a woman) and also thanks to
the insane Obama policy/belief that "there is no more islamic terrorism
regardless what the facts say", Egypt is now under the control of Iran
and will be Iran's proxy in the coming attack on Israel - using
US-supplied weapons no less.

Two major Israeli newspapers are reporting that rockets fired from Egypt
have hit Israel.

Report: Rockets Fired from Egypt Hit Israel

"Terrorists in the Sinai Peninsula launched rockets into Israel Friday
night," reports the Jerusalem Post. "The rockets fell near an Israeli
village on the southern border, causing some damage, but no injuries."

The Israeli daily Haaretz reports, "Rockets fired from direction of
Egypt toward Eshkol Regional Council."

It appears no damage was reported in connection with the rocket fire
from Egypt. Earlier today, the Egyptian prime minister visited Gaza to
express solidarity with the Palestinians there.

This new front comes a day after a rocket landed near Tel Aviv and on
the same day Israel's capital Jerusalem was the target of rocket fire.
Those attacks were courtesy of Hamas in the Gaza Strip.

"After Tel Aviv metropolitan area, capital under fire too: An air raid
siren was sounded in Jerusalem and surrounding communities early Friday
evening. After residents reported hearing blast sounds, security forces
confirmed that one rocket had landed in the Gush Etzion area near a
Palestinian village," Ynet reports.

"There were no reports of injuries or damage. This was the first air
raid siren sounded in the area since the IDF launched Operation Pillar
of Defense in the Gaza Strip. Air raid sirens were sounded in southern
communities throughout the day and a barrage of missiles hit the area."

Iran couldn't be happier about HOW you've spent your blood and treasure
over the past 12 years.

You eliminated Iran's most threatening enemy (Saddam Hussein).

You've handed Iraq, Egypt, Libya (and soon Syria) over to Iran.

Be careful, Egypt, in what you wish for.

Right now, there about 13,000 members of the Israeli Defense Force (IDF),
officers and non-coms, that are making a career out of military service.
There are also about 100,000 conscripts undergoing their required two years
of military service. So, as of this evening, there are about 120,000 active
military personnel available for service.

That number can be increased by an additional 560,000 (to 680,000)
individuals, deployed in combat on three fronts, within 72 hours, with the
first quarter-million coming on-line by this time tomorrow.

Israel can field 18 divisions of infantry and armor. This amount is 50%
larger than the authorized strength of U.S. combat forces (10 divisions of
Army and two of Marines).

With over 600 ground attack aircraft, the IDFs capability exceeds that of
the U.S. Air Force. Throw in the U.S. Navy and the U.S. out-guns the IDF,
but only barely. The IDF also does not have long-range bombers or heavy-lift
capability.

When a general call-up takes place, reservists make for their assembly
points. The first ten or so that show up are organized into an infantry
squad (usually). When four squads are so configured, they are organized into
an infantry platoon, get on trucks, and head for the front.

Most armies operate from the "pull" principle for supplies; Israel uses the
"push" principle.

In an ordinary army, a soldier reports to his sergeant that the squad is
running low on ammunition. The squad sergeant reports to the platoon
sergeant, and a runner is sent to the beach.

In the IDF, all the on-going requirements for a continued conflict have been
worked out in advance and the presumed expendables are "pushed" to the
front. In this scenario, the squad sergeant is likely to be heard saying:
"Keep shooting, men. We're lip-deep in ammo and more is on the way!"

Of course he'd be saying that in Hebrew ...
