I would appreciate any ideas on saving time
painting the interior of a new 2-story house.

The drywall is hung and finished - we primed 1/2
of the house this past weekend.

The ceiling is finished (stippled, not painted) -
the drywallers stated that painting it is not
needed(??).

I am looking for suggestions to prime and paint
this much quicker than my current pace.
Preferably, we would like to keep the ceilings a
different color than the walls.

The trim, floor coverings, and doors are not
installed, so the only thing we need to be
careful of is the windows.

Any voices of experience would be appreciated.

Thanks - Tim McKeown

Use a 3M masking film machine to totally mask off the windows.

I would spray the ceilings flat white despite what they're telling you.

I would spray the drywall primer on the walls.

For the top coat on the walls I would roll it. Use a premium quality
roller cover.

I would also use premium quality paint to minimize the no. of coats. I
would also have the paint store tint the primer to half the formula of
the top coat. (this could also save a coat)

Other than that, just take the time needed to do a quality job.
