Can anyone recommend a paint to use for painting plastic motorcycle
fenders?, What is the best type for this type of flexible plastic? Acrylic
enamel?, Lacquer?, Anyone have any experience or tips they would like to
share?

Thanks

Cant remember, but years ago i have these books on customizing and
painting cars, the stuff that you need is an addative that is put in the
paint that makes it flexible no matter what kind of paint you use,
enamel or lacquer. Now days then might have some spray can stuff that
already has the addative in it?? i needed some paint for the black
window trip for my 93 taurus, it was between a flat black and a reg.
shade of black, but could not find just the right kind. I remember that
NAPA, National Auto Parts(think its a national chain that sells retail)
sold paint and mixed it. i went there and they sold a can of spray paint
for auto for just this purpose that i needed. you can check the NAPA
auto web site and see if they have one in your location as they are on
the web. hope this helps.

It could make a difference what kind od plastic it is but as a general rule
you should roughen the surface, for better adhesion, and prime with a latex
primer of the newer, exterior waterborne variety. You may then top coat with
any exterior acrylic; gloss may be best; depending on your taste.
