I plan to do some outdoor painting in several weeks, when the weather lets
up and drops to the high 80s. Items will include 2 rooms of interior
moldings (crown, baseboard, window and door trim -- yep, paint all at once
and then touch up after installed), six windows of outdoor shutters and
anything else that pops up.

Keeping in mind that I have never sprayed paint out of anything but a can,
what do I need for good even results: (1) small air compressor; (2) airless
paint sprayer. Also, I may not use the equipment again til the same time
next year; I like painting about as much as plumbing.

What kind of equipment? What size? What dollars?

Rent yourself a decent airless sprayrig. practise on some cardboard or other
old scrap stuff.

Rent? Now there's a good idea. I'd sort of gotten into the mindset of buying
since I use mostly small handtools. The Wagner stuff at Lowes and (pardon
me) Home Depot is priced in that same range so I guess that's the way I was
thinking again.

Appreciate the response.
