Hallo

I have been subscribing to this group as well as
sci.agriculture.beekeeping for some time, but I have ignored most
mails, because most postings seem to be out of subject. Now I have
unsubscribed sci.agriculture.beekeeping and hope this one will be
about bees!

I live in Denmark and have three hives. All seems to have lived
through the winter, but we don't have spring yet. Among other hobby
bee keepers around here there have been great losses of families. The
reason is not yet known but samples have been send to laboratories.

When writing to an international group like this, it is important to
know where the members live, because the climate has a great influence
on bee keeping.

Kind Regards
Svend

> Hello Svend,

My name is Fred and I have around 20 or so hives in Perth, Western
Australia. I was initially going to just have a couple but with the cost
of the extractor and other equipment, I decided to get a few more and
sell some honey to recoup some of the outlay.

I'm sure that our weather must be very different indeed. I have just
finished a harvest and must clean all my equipment today for storage.

Regards,
Fred
