What did Jesus taught and how do you know?
Were you there?

Lu 1:2 -Even as they delivered them unto us, which from the beginning
were eyewitnesses, and ministers of the word;

Joh 19:35 - And he that saw it bare record, and his record is true:
and he knoweth that he saith true, that ye might believe.

Joh 21:24 -This is the disciple which testifieth of these things, and
wrote these things: and we know that his testimony is true.

Ac 1:3 -To whom also he shewed himself alive after his passion by many
infallible proofs, being seen of them forty days, and speaking of the
things pertaining to the kingdom of God:

1Cr 15:1 ¶ Moreover, brethren, I declare unto you the gospel which I
preached unto you, which also ye have received, and wherein ye
stand;

1Cr 15:2 By which also ye are saved, if ye keep in memory what I
preached unto you, unless ye have believed in vain.

1Cr 15:3 For I delivered unto you first of all that which I also
received, how that Christ died for our sins according to the
scriptures;

1Cr 15:4 And that he was buried, and that he rose again the third
day according to the scriptures:

1Cr 15:5 And that he was seen of Cephas, then of the twelve:

1Cr 15:6 After that, he was seen of above five hundred brethren at
once; of whom the greater part remain unto this present, but some are
fallen asleep.

1Cr 15:7 After that, he was seen of James; then of all the
apostles.

1Cr 15:8 And last of all he was seen of me also, as of one born out
of due time

2Pe 1:16 -For we have not followed cunningly devised fables, when we
made known unto you the power and coming of our Lord Jesus Christ, but
were eyewitnesses of his majesty.

I'm only referring to what the gospels claim Jesus taught. I have no
knowledge that He existed or was actually teaching these tolerant,
honorable teachings. For all I know, Jesus could have been as much of a
smug self-righteous clown as Rick Santorum or as much of a fake as Newt.

>Were you there?

Was anyone? I happen to like most of what Jesus taught, the parts that
the Republicans have completely rejected.

What he taught was being taught by most at that time. He said nothing
original.

No doubt, but that doesn't stop today's Republicans from alleging that
they are Christian while still undermining everything Jesus taught.
