That's not temples but large houses able, more or less, to accomodate a full
village in a single building.
The most economical way to shelter a village when supplies are limited.
I have seen, several times, the same sort of buildings, still used today, in
Indonesia, where they call it "Long houses".
The "Europe oldest civilisation" was, in fact, composed of Indonesian
