Subject: Frankenstein
Could anyone tell me anything about "the real person" behind Victor
Frankenstein?

I read somewhere that it could have been the scientist Johan Konrad Dippel,
who had inspired Mary Shelley to write the story abount Frankensteins
monster...

Another source has it to be an English nobleman by the name Andrew Crosse.

The reason that I'm interrested in this perhaps "crazy" theme is that I, as
a journalist at a press agency, am researching background and info - which I
hope will result in an exciting feature article abount the reality behind
the fiction...

I'm looking forward to your reply.

Kind regards
