I haven't been on this newsgroup for several years, but I thought I'd come back to commemorate the Centenary.
I see that young Mr Tuttle is here. Hi Dave. How about the others?

especially as the anniversary is almost on us. I suppose it could be
that many old-timers have fled usenet for web-based forums and newbies
couldn't spell usenet even if they had heard of it. Which is true of so
many groups that once thrived on usenet, not just this one.

a need to know more about the ship and the history. This newsgroup was
astonishing back in the day. Posted- asked questions, got informed
answers. Finally was able to actually join in the discussion. Check it
regularly- sadly don't see much any more. True of a number of groups I
check regularly- as pointed out already.

traffic has migrated to web forums. While I have moved away for some
things (progressive rock, programming), aholt is still where I come
first where Titanic is concerned.
