I wish I could find the orchestra, conductor and music label for 2
different versions of Wagner's "Ride of the Valkyries."

One version has a woman singing matched lyrically to the orchestral
music.

Most versions are so bland I could go to sleep listening to them...sort
of like the comatose Vienna Orchestra trying to play Wagner with echoes
of Strauss's "Blue Danube" in their ears...hilarious!

The other version was strictly orchestral but they played it as if it
were a powerful triumphant military march. It was truly great! If I
could get either or both versions, I would gladly pay for the cd's!

You could try this group, they re-enact WWII, they have a big
collection of radio recordings and stuff.
