2014 It's usual for the party which holds the White House to lose some
House and perhaps some Senate seats. If that doesn't happen in 2014,
some will proclaim that the Republican Party has been defeated forever.

If it does happen, some will proclaim the Democratic Party has been
defeated forever.

2016 The Democratic Presidential candidate will win. Democrats will get
an increased number of Congressional seats.

Who will the candidate be? I don't know; but I don't think it will be
Joe Biden.

2018 Republicans hold steady in Congress, or lose a few seats.

2020 Democrats win the White House again.

Farther on: Remember when the Democrats were the party of Northern
Blacks and Southern white supremacists? Of union towns and anti-union
towns? The Republican Party will be similarly splintered. In some
areas, it will be left of the Democrats; in others, it will be dominated
by tea partiers; in yet others by libertarians and semi-libertarians.

Do you think that it will be Hillary Clinton?

I'm trying to imagine President Hickenlooper or President
Villaraigosa. Or indeed President Nixon!

Thus being the first party to win 4 presidential elections running
since 1948 (which was actually the 5th of 5).

I saw an article earlier today about someone who'd photographed a bumper
sticker touting Hilary Clinton and Michelle Obama as the Democratic
ticket for 2016. The vehicle in question was in Washington DC.

How's that for a nightmare scenario?
