I was wondering. Since the group has gotten quite a bit larger in the past
year, (yeah), would everyone mind posting, BRIEFLY, their area of interest.
I think I know a few, like Rabid Bee's and New's, but not most, and believe
we could stimulate the discussions more if we new more about each other.
Besides, the discussions, though interesting, are deteriorating into current
events, culture, genetics, etc.

Please DO NOTsnip previous poster's info when adding your own, so that the
latest post will be most complete. Please DO snip bylines and auto
signatures. Also, keep it brief and please mention your handle AND how you
sign your posts, if they are different, i.e.. Alex/Rabid Bee.

I'll go first.

Primarily British Empire, all periods. (Know a reasonable
bit about this, happy to answer questions - also certainly
still happy to learn!).

Movement of liguistic/cultural/racial groups resulting in
today's nations (know not a lot about this, happy to learn).

Subsidiaries - African/Middle East; WWII; Canadian/USA.

I think I popped into Chalgrove once, on the way up the M40. I have
never been to Thame - no doubt the Hampden Society chappy who pops up
regularly will now ostracise me :-) In my defence, I've been in exile
these last four years...

So I've heard. Not a bad thing, actually. With swindon coming down,
it's time to renew the "Twyford Triangle" rivalry. Plus, with the
burgeoning rivalry with Wycombe developing, it looks like we might have
a few derbies next year!... And another three points from the Manor...

I've been a lurker for most of the time since I found this NG, and like

Absolutely no reason why you should? If it's topic about British
services then why shouldn't that have relevance to a British history
newsgroup? I personally have little interest in modern or contemporary
history, but there's plenty of others willing to debate with you :-)

Anyway, there's nobody here who can stop you posting anyway :-)

Cheers, Alex

Stephen? I inadvertently did live them off my little list of favorites ...
thanks so much. (And have fun with those essays ... :( ).

Take care,

Hi - I am Jai in San Antonio, Texas, US. My current primary interest is
England from 1788 to 1821. I am very interested in people and places,
particularly in Lancaster, and the vernacular during the period.

Thanks.
