Exploe the evidence for settlement in Lower Nubia after the end of the
Egyptian New Kingdom.  It has long been thought that Lower Nubia was
devoid of population at the time, but recent excavations, especially
at the site of Qasr Ibrim, have proven otherwise.
About The Speaker: Dr. Pamela Rose is the current field director of
the Egypt Exploration Society excavations at Qasr Ibrim in Egyptian
Nubia, and has worked on many archaeological sites in Egypt and the
Sudan.  She is a visiting fellow at the McDonald Institute of
Archaeological Research, University of Cambridge, and is currently
working for the American Research Center in Egypt in Luxor.
