Student Fellowships

The Northern California Chapter of the American Research Center in Egypt is offering Student Fellowships (either a single grant of $500 or two grants of $250 each dependent upon applicants) to students in Northern California colleges and universities studying Egyptian history, culture or archaeology in any period, ancient to contemporary.

Applications should be via email to Al Berens, heb...@comcast.net, and should include your name, your position in the program (i.e. undergraduate, graduate, or post-doctorate) and a brief (1 page or less) description of the intended use for the funds (research, books, travel to Egypt, participation in the El Hibeh project, etc.).

Deadline for submission is January 20th, 2010. The check(s) will be awarded at the January monthly meeting on Sunday January 24th, 2010. The Board of Directors, in consultation with Dr. Carol Redmount, will have the final word on the awarding of the fellowships.
