The Right thing to do is to allow real competition across state lines but
Dims won't allow it because of the real potential of premiums coming down.
Dims want control over healthcare, that way they can control what we eat,
what farmers grow, where they grow it, manufacture of devices and drugs .
If our government really wanted to help us it would pass tort reform. But
then Dims largest political contributions are from trial attorneys who
profit in GREAT part from suing hospitals, doctors and nurses.
My wife is a nurse and she pays into a pool for protection against people
like the Breck Girl. How the SEIU would lover for her to pay them the money
instead of into malpractice insurance.
MSG is the leading cause of obesity in America and the only ingredient that
doesn't have to be defined or declared as an ingredient in prepared foods.
Manufactures of prepared foods hide MSG in, "other ingredients" and
"artificial flavor".
Healthcare is an individual responsibility, not a government one. America's
government is an obese monster gorging on the tax payer.
It's time for real reform, reducing the role of government in our lives,
becoming responsible for our selves and demanding MSG be labeled in prepared
foods.

No, because they'd just migrate to the states with the lowest

Tort reform is part of the bill. But you're kidding yourself if you
think that's the real problem.

LIE!
This is a states rights issue. Any insurance company that wants to sell
insurance in any state can do so at present by conforming to the laws of
that state. But lies are the bread and butter of the rightarded.

Boogerman!! Boogerman!! Boogerman!! The Marians are coming. Martha,

Most rational studies of this indicate minimal savings from it. These
suits are the ONLY thing that prevent corporations from denying claims
for legitimate services.

The Republicans largest contributors are the very people who would be
sued for being incompetent assholes and rip off artists.

We are not really interested in your personal garbage.

But what the hell. You're a Republican. You are ignorant and a lair.
> Healthcare is an individual responsibility, not a government one.

You idiots will never allow the costs savings inherent in larger
insurance pools due to your inborn terror of representative government.
You are well aware of how lies and propaganda can make people do things
that are not in their best interests because that is what the Republican
party does as a mainstay of its existence. And this is what makes you so
deathly afraid of representative government. You work to fulfill your
prophesy at all times.

OH YES!!!!! The Republican way. Lat us take any "nit" we can find and
use it to distract from real issues. Let us prevent any "change"
whatsoever so that we can defeat Obama. The nation may burn to the
ground and all the babies can be boiled in oil so long as Obama is
defeated.

And that law can be overruled by a federal law under commerce that says
no insurance company can be denied offering coverage to people of a
particular state. If that doesn't work, do what Democrats are known for
doing; threaten the states with withdrawal of highway funds for
non-compliance.

Didn't Bush threaten public schools with loss of federal funding as part of
NCLB?
<...looks...>
Why, yes he did.

Not that I'm aware of--no. But the Republicans did use it once to
threaten states who used the new definition of eminent domain that
allowed them to kick people out of their homes and businesses so the
city could erect new homes and businesses that netted them larger taxes.
Bush didn't propose and sign NCLB?
Jim
Proof? Vast rightwing conspiracy or speculation ??

That's not what you asked.
Loss of federal funding for non-compliance wasn't part of the bill?
Jim
Gee...so in other words, if the rightards really want to reduce the
number of lawsuits, they should pass this bill.
Really? When was that? Show me, please, because I remember the
Republicans being all in favor of cities being able to use eminent
domain in the interests of "economic benefit".
