Democrats are following an electorally suicidal strategy of turning Medicare
into a political electric chair

"The Centers for Medicare & Medicaid Services last Saturday released an
analysis that suggests nursing homes and hospitals would no longer accept
Medicare patients if health care reform passes. The Senate Democratic plan
would cut Medicare spending by $491 billion. Under the Houses version of
health care reform, Medicare would be cut by roughly $574 billion over the
next decade. "

Translation from wingnut-speek:

The Senate just voted to procede with HC debate without a filibuster.

So the countdown is on to the wingnuts all getting the free mental
health care they so desperately need!

They'll never EVER cut Medicare. The claim is part of the scam. They're
gambling that once RationCare has been fully implemented, voters will
be so gratified that they'll forgive the shameless lying and mind boggling
debt they foisted upon us. We'll have to wait and see if the scam works.

My retired mother just got a notice from one of her doctors that he

covers.

Since Medicare has never covered everything, there is a market for
'Medigap' policies that cover the rest. Since Obamacare will reduce
Medicare benefits, demand for Medigap policies - as well as Medigap
premiums - will increase. AARP is the largest venor of Medicap
policies. AARP has heartily endorsed Obamacare, even though the
resulting Medicare cuts would seem to conflict with its mission as an
advocacy group for senior citizens.

And Democrats accuse Republicans of being in bed with corporate
interests.

How do insufficient proposals on the part of Democrats contradict
Republicans being in bed with corporate interests?

I never said Republicans weren't beholden to corporate interests, just
that the Democrats are no better. This is no surprise, but given the
Democrats' more-progressive-than-thou attitude, it should be pointed
out that their shit stinks as much as the Republicans'.

We agree that both parties are whores but I strongly disagree that
Democrats shit stinks as badly as Republicans.

Then you would be wrong. It stinks much worse. You are a good example, your
posts are shit and I'm the stink that lingers. Stupid liberal Argentine
asshole.
