Hello!

I can't understand how one can give distance healing if one does not know
who the person is and where the person is.

I imagine that distance Reiki is like Remote Viewing, even OOB, when one can
the perform the process of healing as one would on a one-to-one basis.

I have done distance healing only a few times and I ahve always been able to
mentally locate my client and perform the full healing process (even though
sometines, I ahve fallen asleep from the meditative nature of what I do and
the way I do it.

In an nutshell: get permission, from someone whom you know and whose home
you know. Then project* yourself to the room in which they are in and then,
Reiki, Bob's your uncle.

* Actually go in Second Body or visualise.

How out of line is that, please. If it is out if line, is is still aceptable
to mainstream Reiki?

The way It works for me to understand is, on a simple version that we
are all psychically linked, a bit like computers on the internet. Somone
somewhere knows either the end person directly or the know somone that
knows somone that knows the person/animal/object/situation etc.

So fo me if somone says "please send healing for my sick
mother/daughter/father/son/cat etc" that's good enough.

I know this then kicks up the ugly "getting permission" can of worms but
that's one that can be battled out on another thread.

Knowing somones name, age, location etc can perhaps make it easier to
get the brains involvement out of the way is you've satisfied the
requirement the brains need for logic.

If you believe a mysterious energy can flow through you from the heavens
into your crown chakra and out of your hands then into the recipient to
help heal and cure them then why should it be such a long shot to
believe that it won't get to the right person on this tiny planet either
in the past or in the future regardless of location.

Simplify things to the point you don't need to satisfy the brains
requirement for explanation as it's Soooooooo simple.
:))

What is a load of shit? And what gives you the right to be so rude? If you
have something to say, I suggest you make it something constructive, instead
of descending to insulting vulgarity. There are many sincere people in this
group and they deserve better treatment than this.

Some people have had negative experiences and blame it on the reiki they
received. We generally ignore drive-by posters like this.

To me, knowing does not necessarily have to be
conscious since the whole Reiki energy access
and use goes much beyond our limited physical
senses anyway.

Oops... Let's tread into this carefully, if you
don't mind.

I have performed a few energy healing sessions
astrally, but I'm not sure there is much more to
it beyond having had enhanced perceptions of it as
compared to "plain and simple" distant healing.

Well, if we agreed on the idea that the degree to
which one perceives distant energy healing work
depends on remote "sensing" abilities, not on the
Reiki itself?

I don't see this discussion as out of line - at
all. Now, may one see myself as somehow "biased"
because of what I'm doing or perceiving?

To me, any Reiki energy healing that is done in
accordance with the principles of Reiki (incl.
asking for permission) shoud be seen as totally
acceptable to a "mainstream" point of view.

Why is that Neo?

I am asking these questions because a) I don't know the answers already and
2) I have been told to tread carefully and don't understand why and iii)
because I have been told that I SHOULD ask these questions.

I think he means be careful about equating distance reiki to Remote
Viewing or oob experiences. They're not quite the same. With distance
reiki you would 'think' or visualize the person and their location. With
OOB and RV one could 'send' themselves there.

Mike, sorry if my answer made you more confused, I
actually wanted to shed some light by describing
(briefly) some of my experiences so far.

And by "treading carefully", I meant that I merely
wanted to be careful about what I'd myself write
here. Since Reiki is not something that we, poor
presently incarnated human beings do not seem to
be able to fully modelize. Same for such things as
astral contact. I'm careful to avoid to impose my
views (or the lack of) on any such tricky issue.

I fully agree about the relevancy to ask questions
on such topics, which are of interest to me.

Thank you, Sue.

That's where my confusion lies (at least with regard to these three
subjects) So....

I realise that when I visualise myself in the presence of my client, that is
NOT an OOB. However, IF OOB's are possible and I became able to do it, would
performing Reiki by way of the "second body" (as in OOB) be "wrong" or
merely ineffective? Also, trying not to be argumentative, I thought that RV
was more like Reiki distance healing than OOB because you actually don't
leave your physical body. Or have I got that wrong, too?

I should have started learning all this at the age of 26 instead of 62!

Thanks for your help. I'll give it a rest for a while (Sighs all round!)

MikeH

Sorry sue I did a direct reply to you, inadvertently.

I dunno; never heard of anyone doing that.

You don't leave your body in remote viewing, but you can 'see' the
actual other location/person as if you were right there, so it's not the
same as visualizing or 'imagining'. It's more like how a psychic sees
things. Alex knows a bit more about RV, maybe he'll contribute something.

> I should have started learning all this at the age of 26 instead of 62!

Heck I never grew up until I was about 40. You're never too old to learn
new things, and if you stop wanting to learn, then you're probably on
your way out anyway.

No problem. (You may copy-paste the exotic sign, or I
might take another nick one of those days, who knows.)

I think that the way you describe visualizing yourself
in the presence of the healed person might well in fact
indicate that you are using more advanced skills that
you think you are - I mean, not everybody sending Reiki
from a distance does that. Just a thought.

Then you'll welcome the knowledge that accent marks can be made by
holding the ALT key and typing in a number sequence on your number pad.
For the ďż˝ use Alt 130.

Well, yes, in that you are doing something remotely, and no, in that, in
order to do Reiki at a distance, you don't have to "see" the other person
in order to "send" them reiki. Of course, some people use photographs to
do distant Reiki, but they are by no means necessary. Nor is it necessary
to know what the person looks like. For that matter, it's not even
necessary to know their name (although it's easier for some people to
focus on an actual name than on a phrase like "the unnamed person with
such-and-such condition whose reiki request was posted by so-and-so").
Anyways, my point is that you don't need to actually see or remote view,
or have an out of body experience in order to perform Reiki on someone
remotely.

Love and Light,

Garry

Hi Mike,

I'm the Alex referenced by Suzee, I'm 70 yo and was a US Military
Intelligence Seer Remote Viewer while in the US Army from 1960 to 1965.

MikeH wrote:

All you need to do is think that the 'Rei' of Reiki is the Universal
energy or as I call it the 'Spirit of the Universe' which exists out
side of the physical universe and is not subject to the laws of time and
space.

The 'Ki' of Reiki is the *spirit* of living beings and exists in the
physical universe though it is not an energy of the physical universe.

To Rei there is no here or there or now or then so if a thought is
generated by a mind to send Reiki healing to another being, the Ki of
the sending being connects to the Ki of the other being through the Rei
and the thought of healing is transfered.

IOW, Someone says "sent healing to my friend" Someone knows who and
where the friend is, the Reiki practitioner thinks to send Reiki healing
to friend, the Ki of the Reiki practitioner which is not limited by time
and space finds who someone was thinking about as friend and sends the
healing energy to friend.

The Reiki practitioner doesn't need to know who or where friend is
because the requester does.

> I imagine that distance Reiki is like Remote Viewing, even OOB, when one can

RV and OOB depends on a much greater connection between the mind of a
person that doing Reiki does,

In RV the spirit of the Viewer feeds information to the mind of the
viewer and the Viewer's mind constructs an image using that part of the
brain that constructs dream images, RV is a conscious lucid dream
interpreted by the Viewers mind as an observer, OOB is the same
processes with the Viewer perceiving that they are physically there,
though their spirit doesn't actually leave their physical body.

It isn't out of line, though it is not necessary to imagine being There,
because to reiki the energy there is no here or there.
