Good morning Bri and all.
It is dry here now after overnight rain but very blustery winds. Temperature
is 9C (48F) with a 27 mph SW wind. Forecast is a windy start especially
near coasts, sunshine in the afternoon with wind easing during the day to 17
mph. Risk of showers.

I did put my heating on last night so feeling more comfortable this morning.
A w&s day but probably not going out - aches and pains almost gone today.

Have a lovely day with Sophia.

Our forecast is for rain much of the day after about 10:00 am.

That's the problem with storage heaters, you have to plan when you are
likely to need them and get caught out if it suddenly turns cold or hot.

Good morning Froggie - Looks like the wet weather is going up country, lets
hope you do not get too much,
it looks like your ground needs it.

Probably another lazy day - nice and warm here today with heater on -
weather is supposed to improve tomorrow!

Enjoy your day.

Good morning Bri.
A bright start which is now clouding over and our coldest overnight
temperature was 4.2C, nowhere near the zero that was forecast. The
temperature now is 9.1C (48.4F), RH 70% and pressure 1000 millibars. The
wind is from the NE at 2 mph and feels chilly.

Have a good day yourself - I don't doubt you will with your favourite
granddaughter! ;-)

Good morning Jackie, we had a lovely sunny start to the day which had
now clouded over. The forecast is for a dry morning and showery
afternoon again.

There's nothing quite like waking up to a warm home and I'm so pleased
that you're almost well again, not long now until your holiday. If you
don't need to go out I think you're wise to stay indoors while the
weather is that windy.

I hope you have a lovely day too. :-)

Good morning Froggie, it has turned cloudy here after a bright start and
a showery afternoon is forecast again - it looks like more of the same
tomorrow too.

Yesterday afternoon was lovely as I suggested a trip to Silverburn Woods
where it would be more sheltered from the high winds - it was and Dan
and I had a wonderful time. I took a few pictures and roared laughing
when Dan saw his first squirrel and attempted to became a tree climbing
dog, I'm ROFL each time I think about it.

He must have been so buoyed up (no pun intended) that he tried to walk
on water at the local pond - it had plenty of pond weed in patches so he
decided to jump on it in his own inimitable way. He made a "Splash"
similar to yours but didn't manage the "Croak". :-D It didn't bother him
at all and he dog paddled to the other side, climbed out, gave himself a
big shake and "the wagger" started going fifty to the dozen again - that
little chap makes me laugh a dozen times a day.

I hope you have a good day and the rain doesn't affect your walks with
the boys. :-)

Good morning Bernadette,
It's overcast and raining on and off here although it's dry(ish) at the
minute.

That sounds delightful, they do like to chase things like squirrels don't
they?

I bet he had quite a shock when he discovered it wasn't "terra firma" after
all, life would be very sobering and dull without our little friends to
make us laugh, the boys do it all the time :-)

Thank you, it shouldn't, Gilly couldn't care less about the rain but Rocky
does like to keep himself dry if he can, if not he isn't too bothered about
it really :-)

Have a good day yourself.

Mornin' from a cold, wet, dull and dreary South Yorkshire. All is
sodden out there although despite being overcast with low flying cloud
and light drizzle it does seem a little brighter - but not a lot - in
the last ½ hour. Air temperature is 5.3ºC (41.5ºF) with barometric
pressure steady at 989 mB and relative humidity on the up at 87% WW
reckons it was 5.6ºC, 988.2 mB and 94% 10 minutes ago. Forecast is for
showers (60% chance of) and windy until mid-afternoon then partly cloudy
with a 20% chance of falling rain with temperature to rise steadily
throughout the day to be 11.1ºC (52.0ºF) and mostly sunny in the early
evening. Looks like the washer/drier will be working overtime in drier
mode today. :(
Have a nice day one and all.

That dratted rain has been falling here since around 14:00 yesterday and
although not actually falling right now it looks like we're gonna have

Good afternoon Jackie.
It's been mainly dry here today so far, but feels very cold in the wind.
We've peaked 11 C but it doesn't feel anything like that.

We've had our heating on all day too, mainly because of Sophia. She has a
bit of a cold too and we haven't seen so many smiles from her today.
It's surprising how comforting a bit of warmth can be for those aches and

It feels cold in the wind but it is nice and bright. I had to put my

just right today. I think you are getting the rain we had last night.

Heavens, Bri, you're so far inland but us here on the NW coast are

At almost 4pm you'd expect it to be going cooler, wouldn't you? Well it
is! I noticed at sometime today it was 15 point something out here,
can't remember the bit after the decimal point, and it could well have

Good evening Jackie, we had a mainly dry day until late afternoon. As we
pulled onto the driveway after walking Dan the heavens opened so we sat
and listened to the radio for 10 minutes while the cloud emptied itself.
It has rained non stop since then.

You and Joan do seem to be in the wars lately, let's hope tomorrow sees
you both fit and well again. I agree about being pulled down by some of
these ailments, it's the constantly nagging aches that seem the worst as
they're so tiring.

That's great that you're almost organised for your holiday, I do hope

Good evening FN, it rained so hard earlier that our road flooded but it
has all cleared now.It looks as though the next few days will continue
to be unsettled. I hope you got all your washing dried - I have that
pleasure waiting for me tomorrow.

I hope you've had a good day too. :)

You bet they are ;-)
We have noticed over the last few weeks that Gilly is starting to slow down
a little in his old age, but that's to be expected I suppose, like me he
isn't as young as he used to be ;-)

I think that is a feeling that many of us know well, a couple of years
ago I'd think nothing of briskly walking double the distance that I now
enjoy strolling at my own pace. I sympathise with Gilly! :-)

Thanks, Bernadette, let's hope so. We did have the occasional smile but
they didn't last for long, she obviously felt poorly. :(

Thanks Jackie, we did have a good day but I can't say the cold wasn't
bothering her, it was obviously causing her some discomfort.

That bit of warm sunshine makes all the difference, everything was more
pleasant today.

Twenty-four little hours
Brought the Sun and the flowers where there used to be rain :-)

Great song, I thought it was Jackie supposed to be singing this morning, it
must be catching ;-)
