Good morning Froggie and all.
It's overcast here too at 9 °C (48 °F), 90% RH and SL pressure of 1004
mbar.

Thank you but it's rather looking like 24 hours of awful weather before
showing an improvement on Sunday.

Good morning Froggie, a cloudy start here today so I had my lie in this
morning. ;-)

The temperature is 48.4F (9.1C) with RH 71% and pressure 1017 millibars.
There is a cool breeze from the NW so the last bits of washing are out
and drying. A cloudier day is forecast with a maximum of 55.4F (13C).

Have a great day yourself. :-)

Mornin' from a chilly, drying out, overcast but brightening up South
Yorkshire. BYT seems to be trying to peep out and dry up the damp
surfaces left by yesterday evenings rain. Temperature out there is
7.5C (45.5F), barometric pressure is on the up at 1009 mB and
relative humidity showing as 82%. WW reckons it was 7.8C, 1007.5 mB
and 90% hour ago in Sheffield. Forecast is for partly cloudy from
about 10:00 with a 20% chance of some more falling we stuff and
temperature to rise to 12.2C (54.0F) by 13:00 and remain there 'til
tea time.
Have a nice day one and all.

Good morning Jackie, it is dull here but dry so far, the forecast is
cloudy all day and we could have some drizzle later but it isn't
certain. I guess if we do it'll save me having to water the pots.

A W&S day here apart from the walk, I feel a day of pottering coming on.
(Froggie please note - "pottering"!!) :-D

I saw your reply to my post yesterday and hope things soon improve for
Joan, she is so lucky having you to go with her and see she is all
right. John had to have his meds "adjusted" too, it is surprising the
number of drugs that clash with other drugs a patient may be taking. At
least now they are able, in most cases, to adjust dosages so the
treatment is "tailor made" for the individual.

I hope you have a good day and manage to avoid those showers. :-)

Good evening Bri - Our sunshine did not last it turned very cloudy - but
stayed dry. I think we are due rain tonight.
It has been a busy afternoon - I ordered a foldup guest bed and it arrived
after lunch. I had to assemble some parts, like put the castors on and the
headboard and put screws to make the legs stand-up. Not too bad Joan came
and helped me and we soon got it done. Bigger than I imagined but it will be
o.k. I need it for when my youngest daughter comes to stay with my grandson.
I could borrow one from Management but I did once before and it was not very
good, it did not have castors so was difficult to move around.

I hope you had a pleasant day.

Good evening Bernadette - our early sunshine did not last, it clouded over
and stayed like it all day.
I had to stay in as I was expecting a delivery of a folding guest bed. It
arrived just after lunch and needed some assembling, like putting on the
castors and headboard and securing the stands(legs). Joan knew I was waiting
in and when I told her it had arrived she came straight down and we
assembled it together. She had one before so knew what to do. It looks
bigger than I expected but I will manage to find space for it.

Joan has to keep having her meds adjusted as they do not always work
together - she has had 3 attacks of gout over 7 weeks. Joan and I do help
each other when we can, we can rely on each other.

Hairdressers tomorrow - I am having another perm tomorrow - my hair is so
fine and soft nothing stays in. Getting it done before my holiday!

Getting late so off to the land of nod soon.

Good evening Jackie, it stayed sunny and warm all day here so when the
walk was done I spent an hour clearing a bit more in the garden, with
Dan's help of course.

What a good idea to have a folding bed for visitors. Our sitting room is
too small to manage one but we don't have visitors to stay, just to
share a meal with as they're either passing through or touring.

Like Joan, John has to keep having his meds adjusted too. It has been a
sad time here today though as Emily had to have Buffy put to sleep so
she and John are very upset. The cancer the vet diagnosed a few weeks
ago was very fast growing so once Buffy lost quality of life Emily
wouldn't let her suffer.

Having your perm done now will let it settle before you go on holiday.
I'm going to have mine cut on Thursday as it is creating a very
"Dougall" look for me!

Night night Jackie, sleep well. :-)

Good morning Jackie.
You did a good job with that bed, by the sound of it, well done both of
you. Let's hope it passes the test for your visitors.

We did, thank you Jackie, I hope you did too.

know how they must be feeling,

Oh, Bernadette, I do feel so sorry for Emily and John.
But, if it's any consolation, I congratulate them on not allowing Buffy
to suffer, that's a real pet *lover*. Anyone can be an owner but your
love for the animal shows when you put their needs before your own.

Tell them it does get better, to talk about Buffy often, it involves
quite some tears but helps you come to terms with the situation.
It was February 4th last when we had to do the same thing for Meg and I
still talk to her. "Meg, where are you?" is very often the first words I
say when I come down and Ray's still in bed. But at least the tears have
stopped now.

My heart goes out to them Bernadette,
RIP Buffy.

Regards, Frogman.
I'm supposed to respect my elders, but it's getting harder
and harder for me to find any now.

Thank you so much Pam, I will pass on your hugs to them. Buffy was not
only Dan's little sweetheart (although she was a much more mature lady)
she was part of the family.

This morning Em and I went to a small sale of work we'd promised to
attend and she was not only surrounded by the love of our friends but we
all chatted about "Buffs" and chuckled at some of her antics and told
tales of her mischief and "fishwife" behaviour and Emily had to chuckle
a few times too. Buffy will be missed, the little madam, as she was such
a character and well known locally.

Thanks Froggie, I knew it would. Em has always had dogs and she wasn't
intending to have another almost ten years ago when she heard from a
friend about a battered and neglected wee soul who needed to be rescued.
The fact that Buffy got her confidence and health back was all down to
the loving care that John and she gave to the wee creature.

It may sound hard but tomorrow the best thing that could happen is going
to happen as Emily had agreed to look after a friend's dog while the
owner goes on a family holiday and Em insists she still will. Several of
us think it will be a good thing as she has known Ben - a total pudd'n
and a ball of love in the guise of a border collie - since he was a puppy.

I agree, I think it will help her come to terms with their loss.
