ObHack:
Back in the day I owned an old Ford Mustang. It was a very simple car
with a straight-forward electrical system. Something went horribly wrong
with the alternator and it burned up half of that electrical system.
What was I to do? Luckily, I had some lengths of network cable and a
knife with me. I cut the ends off of the network cable, stripped the
ends and connected one end to the +12v battery post, and the other end
straight into the ignition coil, thus providing ignition power. I then
briefly shorted the coil wire on the starter soleniod to +12 with another
piece of wire which kicked the starter motor up and boom! the car
started. Technically, the ignition coil is not ever supposed to see a
full 12 volts, but it lasted long enough for me to get home :)
