it contains a really good 'spray 'em back' hack. stray cat lovers, be
warned. C&C warning as well. Empty your mouth of food and beverages,
visit the porcelain throne before watching, etc.
ObHack: using 1x6 in sliding doorway with hole cut for air conditioner
exhaust. Careful sizing of 1x6 allows it to easily slip into place, and
easy removal. Handles mounted centerline for easy grasping. If you
want to leave it for long periods of time you can (literally) wire the
thing in place, maybe add a chunk o' wood in the appropriate spot to
prevent opening the sliding door and removing it from the outside (an
extra security measure in other words). In any case, when there's no
nearby window, but there's a nearby sliding glass door, it works very
very well. The plastic thingies they give you with the portable AC
units (the really good ones with an exhaust hose) just don't cut it when
you need to 'go vertical' like that.
Optional: stain/varnish to match furniture and/or wood trim for extra
classiness.
