In this database, I've organized the chords, scales, and arpeggios by
family (Major, minor, dominant 7, and altered) and fingering (which
string is the root on).
For example, you will find a 13 chord on the same page with 7 chords
and 9 chords of the same fingering. You can then switch over to the
Scales page and see all of the scales and arpeggios that work well over
that family of chords, also in the same fingering.
I like this organization because when I'm learning a song I like to
vary the chords a bit without necessarily moving around the neck. Or I
may want to move up or down the neck, so I look for substitutions in a
different fingering.
Each Lexicon page has a model chord at the top and the substitutions in
the body of the page.
Maybe you don't like that standard 4th-string-rooted minor7 chord (I
don't :) so you could try some of the other varieties on the page like
the minor 9 or minor 11. You're still in the same position but you get
a different flavor.
Or you are learning a jazz blues and you want to play arpeggios over
each chord. You can look at the Scale page for each family and
fingering and select the scale or arpeggio that best fits the song.
Hope you find it useful!

Thanks!
Glad you like it...welcome aboard!
I'm writing an article on chord construction that should come out
tomorrow.
This is pretty cool. I like the way you have things organized. One
question for the group:
Is anyone else having problems with very slow response to clicks on the
pop up menus at this site or is it just mey end?

Nice update - much more usable than v1!
