For the most part Mr. Getty doesn't accept film from "more portable
recording devices available to everyone." He only accepts licensable film
clips from people who have the highest quality film equipment to date. He's
not interested in everyone's smart phone film.
In my case he made an exception, due to the nature of the material itself
and recognizing the fact that back in 1973 you had to film what you could
film by any means necessary, even if it was 24 fps style lol.
Ah, I love my Getty film. And mind you Mr. Getty only chose a small number
of film clips of my personal Super 8 collection. Not by a longshot did he
accept my entire collection. So what you're seeing there is only a small
part of my entire Super 8 collection of works. And something else happened;
when I was creating the production log I errantly missplaced one of the
clips into it's proper slot. I was hoping they'd pick up on and correct the
error, but they didn't. So one of the original film clips never made it to
the page; originally there were 63 film clips as opposed to the 62 front of
house clips there right now. And I don't know which darling clip got lost in
the translation. Silly me.
