Baritone guitar string guages?

I am toying with the idea of converting one of my electric 6-strings to
a baritone guitar, just for fun. I realize I will have to alter the nut
to accept the different (larger) strings. I also know the bari' is tuned
a 5th below a normal "Spanish" guitar (based on A rather than E). I am
also familiar with changing string guages, tunings and adept at setups
for such changes (including alternate tuning considerations affecting
setup), i.e. I *could* figure this all out by myself based upon a "best
guess", but I would like some input from the experienced who really know
- what are the common string guages in use for an electric baritone
guitar? I'd like to see such recommendations for both light and medium
gauge sets. Thanks.

On a guitar (like a Strat or Strat copy - which mine is) that has a long string
length anyway it is not much of an issue. I know it is possible to convert a
normal guitar to a baritone, even tho it might not be a baritone exactly, it'll
work out ok. Also, on an axe that is specifically made to be a baritone the
neck is probably a bit wider too. But like I said, it can be a converted axe -
there isn't all that much of a differnence - consider small-sized guitars and
basses, for example...

Thanks. This confirms my suspicions. In other words I can use a regular
6-string set, lose the hi e string and add a heavier bass string. In the two
examples you show they would roughly match up to existing string sets plus
the added heavier bass string. In fact the second example exactly matches a
light gauge set n this manner (which is what I'm looking for). I don't think
I have those issues - but I'll look. Not sure I've subscribed that far back

Also-
Warmoth is now doing a direct replacement baritone neck, at a
28-and-something" scale, designed to bolt directly onto a Strat.

Let me know how all this works out...

They're also doing an extra wide (1 7/8") wid neck...

I play the same as Greg. That's JJ's standard I gauge I think. They sound
great but you can get them bigger!!

It's copperburst. The color didn't knock me out at first but It's really
grown on me.
I also have a JJ 12 string in turquoise burst.
