I need a Tele neck
Nil
have sitting around. I'd like it to have a rosewood fingerboard,
medium-jumbo frets, flat-ish radius, truss rod adjustment at the head.
Anybody have a favorite source in the USA for such a thing? I'm
considering Warmoth, mainly because they have many options available
and they're the only ones I've dealt with before. But maybe there are
alternatives I should consider?

Carvin makes phenomenal necks. I got one a couple years ago for $150.
GFS in Medway also sells necks for $50...but I'm guessing you get what
you pay for.

I’ve used all parts, mighty mite and Warmoth. #1 Warmoth #2 all parts
# 3 mighty mite. Regardless of witch one you buy they all need a fret
leveling. I seem to like the Compound radius on the Warmoth I’ve done
some of my own necks with a compound radius. I’m building a Tele now
just waiting on some parts. I’m going to do my own neck might even try
a 7.25 radius fingerboard. I found this Forum about a week ago great
info , monitored ( no trolls, or name changers) fast moving you might
check it out

All Parts. my Strat has a AP 54/modern hybrid neck and its pretty good.
You could also get on to Stratosphere on ebay and nab real Fender necks.

Hmmmm... they give next to no information about their products on that
sitem, not even a place to order. I'm guessing they sell only through
dealers, although there's no dealer information, either. A few pictures
of the same skanky-looking chick isn't very inspiring, either.
I actually own a Mighty Mite strat pickup that I bought about 30 years
ago. I didn't like it much at the time, but I still have it. I should
hook it up one of these days and see how it sounds to me now. It's
"vintage"!

I've heard good things about them, too. As I recall, it's a bunch of

That's a possibility. I'd have to fashion my own headstock, but I guess
that couldn't be too hard.

I didn't realize they were in Massachusetts. Do they have a showroom?
Medway is only about 20 miles away.

Thanks for the comparison - that's very helpful.
I have one Warmoth (Strat) neck that has a compound radius, and I don't
know whether I like it or not. The neck is so unstable that it won't
stay flat for long enough for me to adjust the neck for lowest action.
The neck is pretty and seems well-made, but it is super-sensitive to
temperature and humidity.
Still, Warmoth appeals to me because they have some nice options - one
of them is a slightly wider nut, and a variety of profiles (the Clapton
one looks like it might be a good fit for me.)

Is "Stratosphere" a seller? I can't find him.
Shallow as it may seem, a real Fender decal is worth something to me.

Yeah, he's an ebay seller. I'm shallow enough to have got a Vintage RI
neck plate for my custom Strat from stratosphere. Ironically the guitar
is similar speced to the US model it came from, according to Fender that
is. ;-)

Maybe look at Squier necks on ebay too? You can get MIK or MIJ necks
sometimes for under $100 bucks.

All I know is they make replacement Fender necks under licence.
I have picked around on one or two guitars with mightymite necks on
them... didn't notice anything a miss...
If I were ordering a neck I would go to Warmoth, but you asked for
options.

+1 on the Stratosphere. seller name on the bay is reliablefender.
We've gotten Fender necks from them and have never had a problem.
We usually get MIA necks and they are excellent. They fit right
onto MIA and MIM Fender bodies perfectly and since they are real
Fender necks they play and feel like the real deal (consistent
feel once you get used to Fender necks) because they _are_ Fender necks.
reliablefender also sells all sorts of other fender necks
(we just get the MIA standard necks) but you can get MIM necks and
every once in a while MIJ necks and then specialty fender necks
from re-issues... FSR necks.. etc...
They are the real deal. They are not 'knock offs' or whatever.
Sometimes they also sell slightly used necks and describe them
exactly as they are. There's no bullsh__t with them.
And the one time we did have a problem, we contacted him and
he promptly arranged to have us return the neck and send another
one (same type.. MIA standard maple neck) and he never gave us
any problem about it. (We felt the nut cut wasn't the best on it
although that's the way it left the Fender factory).
The one he sent in return was perfect (well as good as it gets
from the Fender factory).
I am sure that companies like Warmoth and All Parts and many others
would also have good deals on Fender type necks. But I like to get
an actual Fender neck and know from experience what it's going to
feel like and play like. It's not better or worse than Warmoth..et al..
it's just well.. a real Fender neck.
If you are strapped for cash then maybe All Parts or Mighty Mite
might be a better way to go. After all, you'll probably tweak the neck
a bit after you get it to get it set up the way you want.
The only thing I did not like about the Might Mite neck I got
(and won't be doing it ever again) is that the fret ends were like
cheese grater. Ouch! So I had to have all the fret ends filed down
and it still didn't feel right.
When you get actual Fender MIA neck you get nice rolled fret board
and smooth fret ends.
ok. that's my 2 cents. If you want a Fender neck - then get a Fender neck.

Just keep in mind, these are 12" radius fretboards...I prefer a more
vintage 9" or so to the modern, flatter fretboards. I've had to
adjust my playing on these, but if that's not an issue for you, the
craftsmanship is amazing. The guitars sold by GFS are also 12"
radius, which is weird for Strat and Tele copies.

They're actually a warehouse with no showroom, but I weaseled my way
in there when I bought 3 guitars over the last few years. I emailed
Jay and told him I want to look at & feel the guitars I was getting
since they're so close. Plus, I wanted to save on the shipping
