Notes
-----

The published score is impossible to play. In most measures the held note on
the 1st beat of the measure appears in the score as a dotted quarter note
(lasting 3 beats), but it is repeated on the same string on the 3rd beat of
the measure. Simliarly, in most measures the note on the 4th beat of the
measure 'overlaps' the note on the 6th beat.

'Prestissimo' is usually interpreted to mean 'as fast as possible'.

'sf' usually means 'forceful' or 'accented' (sforzando), but it can also mean
'suddenly loud' (subito forte); this perhaps explains why 'sfz' (which also
means sforzando) rather than 'sf' is used in measures 25 & 34

Measure 12 left hand fingering is as the sheet, but this may be easier -
