Mississipi john hurt - frankie (1928 version)
Martin simpson - duncan and brady (actually in open gsus4 - from open
G change b string to c )
Nitty gritty dirt band - both sides now (beautiful arrangement of the
joni mitchell tune)
slide sounds great in open G

G minor is a fun tuning -- drop the B to B flat. Play
as if you're still in G major. Very spooky.

Yep...and of course, as you've alluded, Joni Mitchell is another fan of open
G....Pave Paradise and put up a parking lot...oh heck...park it wherever you
like, can't afford the gas anyways.
