I finally got another mix and arrangement up for Black Cat Blues. I think
I've done the song justice now. Now this link will play the whole song but
in lo-fi only. A 2 min. demo in hifi is available at

Comments welcome. Luke :)

Thanks Meatplow. I may as well do all I can for this voice . Cheers, Luke :)
I was thinking along the same lines. It sounds to me like you kept the
vox track and just remixed/processed whatever? Is that correct?
The mix is way better now to my ear - the backing vocals are really
nice. What about just re-singing the lead? You know how that works.
The more you do it, the better it tends to get. OTOH, I've been to the
point where if I heard my voice one more time I was gonna step in
front of a bus. I'd MUCH rather let someone in the audience do that
part...
Chuck
LOL..well Chuck I redid the lead vocals but wasnt feeling too well when I
did it..yeah, its one thing to write a song then the rest is just fine
tuning right? Which seems to take me forever btw...Sometimes I wonder if the
first version is better but it did go for like 6 mins..and had lots more
noodling than this one. Thanx for listening. Cheers, Luke
I always feel like I can 'hear' autotune - of course my experience is
limited to a couple of units, and it may be that I'm thinking mostly
of my own voice, where it is easy to recognize the difference. But I
also think I detect it in a LOT of pop, particularly stuff sung in
higher register.
Very good AND TIGHT STUFF MAN!
Thanks Meatplow but my cakewalk 9 pro doesnt seem to support Auto Tune.
Cheers, Luke
Thanks heaps MZ!! I've been working on an even better mix last few days so
stay tuned I may have it up today on soundclick.com if ur interested.
Cheers, Luke :)
Sonar Producer already has Roland's V-Vocal, which in certain ways is
even more flexible than Autotune.
