Zoom G1X

Hi all,
I just bought the Zoom G1X, pretty nice box but the factory setting
really blow. I'm trying to set/reset build my own new patches now and
finding it hard as I don't know simply what the hell I'm doing. First
when resetting a set patch it doesn't start from scratch, it stays in
the factory patch and now you have to tweak it which ends up being
near impossible and very frustrating to say the least..
So any ideas where to start? Anyone familiar with this box? Any ideas
how to get to a clean starting point? I'm lost here... Thanks.

Also, some classic settings, i.e., mid distortion, low flange, clean
reverb, some gain, equals a nice Jimi Hendrix tone???? As an example
of who adds what to create a certain sound..

Last Zoom I bought back in the 90s was fine till it stopped working for some
reason and it also kept freezing up havign to open it up and reset the chip
often grrrr ..a load of shit and I will NEVER buy modelling boxes again..get
urself a few Boss pedals they will last forever..
