I'd temporarily lost interest in learning new stuff, so I've been leveling
the the board and refretting my Beltona. It worked out well, plays good A
chords now.

I have a few projects going.
I have been playing my 6 string electric banjo on several songs but it
is real hard on my fingers.
It is hard to set up.
I just switched from acoustic 11's to electric 9's.
Made a big difference and sounds good.
I have an old brown 1X12, 40 watt SS Yamaha amp that went dead on me.
One of the best SS amps I ever heard.
I will dig into it soon.
If the problem is not a fuse it is probably in the pcb.
I may pick up a new (used) wired chassis for it.
I decided to connect my computer sound to my PA.
Got a 1/8 stereo male to 2, 1/4 female Y adaptor and 2, 20 foot guitar
cables
I better get to work...

All the regular on-topic posters here are serious in their own different
ways, it is just a bit oblique sometimes.

So long as you get the idea that different fingerings suit different
circumstances. In folk and popular music the sound of a particular player is
often tied with the way in which they fret chords

Yep, it sucks. I was one of 10 to go.

The part that sucks the most is that I was planning on going
for the Conservatory 4 exam in June. But that is dead now (I
can't concentrate on that now or spend the money).

So I might as well start on level 5 material and hope that all
will work out by the time I am ready for that exam.

I now have some extra quality time to spend with the Les Paul.
I just gotta to find the right mood for it. Maybe the bluez is
a good place to start.

I got a screwdriver in hand, but not of the liquid kind. I've got some
extra time now to finish a few small projects not needing a cash
infusion.

I finally did a small banjo repair I've been putting off due to lack of
time. I thought maybe the truss rod was busted since the thing has always
rattled in the neck when I played it. But I was pleased to find that the
thing was just loose inside. A quick light tightening is all that it
required. So I did some banjo to celebrate.
