No band, no gigs

Just got me a 3D TV...picking up the new surround sound
system tomorrow...so I'm not too bothered about playing.
At least for a while!!
Better 3D than the movies...amazing.

My TV isn't 3D but it does have surround sound.
Speaker system is Klipsch.

I doubt I'll ever use all the functions available.

I've gone for all LG stuff which came out tops in the
latest consumer mag 'Which' tests.

I'm having to get rid of my old LG 500w 5.1 sound system
as all new stuff is HDMI and optical connects and won't talk
to the new TV. SCART is dead it seems.
The upside is I've had permission from the management
to get a new sound system and Blu-ray player as well as the TV.
Result!!

Im getting more gigs doing a Duo with my friend. Ones that I dont even
play Bass in.....amazing.

I'm never bothered about playing a gig or not. Oh, I'll take them as
they come (about 1 decent one a month) , but I don't live for it...
