'Cuz if there's anything we don't need in America, it's hard-workin'
home-schoolin' evangelical Christian white people! Fuckin' A,
send 'em back to Naziville and let the fuckin' Kommie Krauts
put 'em in the slammer for daring to pull their kids out of the state's
indoctrination centers.

Hey, Achmed! Welcome to the USA, man! What's that you
got there - a pressure cooker? Gonna make some couscous,
eh? Tell ya what, you can get the ingredients for that with your
new EBT card, dood! Sign up right over there, you'll have a
pocket fulla free shit in ten minutes. And remember, if anyone
looks at you cross-eyed, SUE their ass for discrimination!

Que paso, Jose? You sneak in? Shit, mang, thas' OK, we
got mountains of free shit for everybody. Just sign right
here...now, you're gonna vote Democrat, right? Cuz
America is, like, a *democracy* and shit, and, um, you
wouldn't want to be anti-American, would ya? No, no, mang -
it ain't like that, you can celebrate Cinco de Mayo and fly
the Mex colors an' shit, see? Just pull the D levers when it's
your turn to vote - however many times you want to - and we'll
get you a place to stay, an EBT card or three, all the free shit
you can handle.

And THAT, AGAtards, is why there will be a war.

As usual, you're fulla crap, Willie. First, Germany doesn't require that
all students attend public schools; they're free to attend private schools
as an alternative. Second, the Romeikes won't be "forced" to go back to
Germany; they're free to go to any other country in the EU.

There are particular conditions that must be met in order for them to have
been granted asylum. This is the *law*. The court is simply following the
law.

As the article states, the Romeikes are being used as a political playing
piece by HSLDA, the homeschool lobby, and conservative political hacks.

My command of the German language isn't what it used to be, but then again
what it used to be wasn't so great either (I took a one-year course in
college). Anyway, I found an article published the same day in the English
version of Spiegel that appears to be a condensation of the original German
one:

<http://www.spiegel.de/international/germany/religious-persecution-german-home-schoolers-granted-political-asylum-in-us-a-674312.html>

Another article in the English version was published the following day, with
the same authors as the one you referenced:

<http://www.spiegel.de/international/germany/political-asylum-for-homeschoolers-evangelical-christians-celebrate-victory-over-embarrassed-germany-a-674492.html>

This one seems to follow the original German article more closely. For what
it's worth.

In any event, the original US court ruling has now been overturned.

It is astounding to me that a person who positions himself as "pro-America"
can be so clueless as to the purpose and intent of the Constitution,
thinking that HE gets to determine the "rightness" and "wrongness" of
things.

The "Old America" that he pines for is the America of racism, white
supremacy, Christian religious dominance, justice by the gun or hangman's
noose, no child labor laws, and women as secondary citizens, one step away
from slavery.

His hypocrisy is disgraceful.

Yes, and he has also boasted about America's democracy in the past yet when the last presidential election didn't go his way, he called for an armed revolution.

I don't disagree with any of that. I just don't see the point in trying to reason with him any more. He is beneath reason and beneath contempt.

I agree with everything you guys said here. I've been simply ignoring most of his nutcase posts, but I'll still comment on the more ridiculous posts....usually when I'm bored or something.

But even that has lost it's charm these days. I've said it before--LV has sunk to the level of being nothing more than a crazy-grumpy old man, sitting on a park bench, yelling at the pigeons.

He sits there every day....doing the same old thing....while somehow expecting his actions will save the world from all he deems "unworthy" of living in his imaginary home-land. You know...the home-land that doesn't actually exist, except for the illusion in his uneducated & limited little brain. That home-land.

I also firmly believe that--even if every single one of us were to ignore him, he would continue to post more and more crazy rants, on a daily basis. In fact, I think if we were to all go away forever, he'd claim "victory" and revel in it, every day---bragging to no one, besides himself!

But....that's not crazy behavior.....now is it?

It's known as exercising one's right to free speech - you know, that thing that Wilhelm seems to think America invented but wants to thwart whenever people say things he doesn't agree with.

Whoops--I think old Claude is going to be outnumbered on this one! I don't see any "spin" in what WS posted. In fact, his comments are pretty accurate--which should be easy to verify, for anyone who can read.

Perhaps "thwart" isn't the best word to use, however. "Insult" is the word I'd substitute....and there are a LOT of examples of LV doing that. I've even seen him insult first time posters, who've never given him a reason to do so. It's just the way he is--a grumpy old & hateful man.

But, don't take my word for it....go back and read for yourselves!

There will be a war because certain goofy rightards can't seem to stop
shitting themselves over agitprop they find on utterly discredited nutter
web sites? For real?

OK, quiz time:

Who was President of the United States when Dzhokhar Tsarnaev became a
permanent resident of the United States?

Don't know? Care to hazard a guess?

OK, I'll assume you know but won't answer (a safe bet given your history).
So I'll lob another one atcha:

During that President's two-term reign, how many US Embassies abroad were
attacked, and how many people were killed in those attacks? And why didn't
the opposition party at the time raise a stink?

Hush my man. Don't raise issues that might make guys like him actually have
to confront the reality.

I get a kick out of that people like LV fail to understand that the
causal-effect relationship has a time gap: that problems with political
issues and economic ones had their foundations laid years before, by
policies begun by their right wing leaders. When the results of those
policies finally show up in the current time, they blame the person or party
that happens to be currently in office, a matter of convenience for them,
and a convenient scapegoat knee-jerk response.
