Is there a website showing the current surface temperature of the
lakes - specifically southern Lake Huron?

Does anyone know the amount or extent of ice cover of south-eastern
lake huron currently?

Here in De-troy-it, I am.

Last year, we had the 4th highest snowfall total for the winter. And
this year, we're running 16 inches ahead of that. The 64 mile commute
(round trip) gets old in the snow.

I can believe it. It sounds like you "ahead" of the Chicago area.
We've had maybe a foot more than the average snowfall so far.

For Ice Cover, look here -

*used* to show the ice cover, but this season, for some reason, it
dosent.
