I've not seen anything, good or bad, here about the GLWC. If you live in
the affected areas (inside the geological "soupbowl" surrounding the lakes)
what are your thoughts on this?

Here in Portland, Oregon we occasionally hear that one or another group of
Californians want to pipe Columbia River water to Los Angles so they can
wash down their streets or some such crazy idea. So "we feel your pain".
Keep fighting and keep your Lakes healthy! "Non Carborundom Illegitime"

At one time, some folks were floating the idea of piping Great Lakes
water to Nevada, for Las Vegas. I don't think this went very far
after they realized that even the highest lake - Superior is just over
600 feet ASL, while the average elevation of Vegas is around 2100 feet
ASL. Even the spillways at Hoover Dam are 1226 feet ASL. It would
just cost too much to pump that much water UPHILL, even IF the
pipeline could ever be constructed. BUT ... They never looked into
TUNNELING - yet.

Have you ever wondered what it would take to get thinking people to take you
seriously?
