Just heard a news report that Lake Huron water level is 20 cm (7.9
inches) higher than last year, and 40 cm (15.75 inches) higher than the
disasterously low levels in 2005.

I'm wondering if lake huron water temperature is lower than usual for
this time of year, and (if so) if it might lead to less lake-effect snow
this winter (or less cloud cover for SW-Ontario this coming winter and
spring).

That makes sense, Lake Guy - if the water is cooler the air would pick
up less moisture when traveling over it, and if the temperature
difference when passing from water to land is smaller, then there might
be less lake-effect snow. But I know next to nothing about meteorology,
so don't take my word for it!
