Stroke path looks like a Holstein cow
|
| |
Drawing a constrained rectangle with the pen tool, when I went and stroked it with the pencil tool at 1 pixel, one small corner @ top right was darker. The majority of the stroke was a light shade of gray. I had the default B&W on. The dark was actually scattered around the perimeter, hence the Holstein reference.... more »

Solution to Thick guides in CS4 (Mac)
|
| |
(This is a problem where guides appear to be 2px wide or blurry, instead of the normal 1px. So. Fucking. Annoying.) In Preferences, turn off OpenGL Drawing. Then you have to quit and restart Photoshop for change to take affect.

Looking for program 'like' DotColor
|
| |
I used to use DotColor and it worked fine (WinXP). Now I have Vista and it doesn't work OK. So I'm looking for another app that will give me RGB values for any color on my screen (when I put an 'eyedopper' over that spot on the screen). Any suggestions?

CS3 help menu doesn't exist in CS4
|
| |
So totally annoyed with having to go online to read the PS help PDF, I decided to try and use the 'build a help' thingy I saw with CS3. I can't find, and don't really know what it was called. And it's no longer there in CS4. I don't want to reinstall 3 just to find out what it was. But I figure if I can't get good help with F1, maybe I can use the help menu... more »

DPI PPI or resolution. I want HIRES
|
| |
This became an issue the other day when I found zooming to 3200 % wasn't enough, and the text was just a blur. I've seen Burt Monroy's lifelike paintings, and I know for fact that he's got it down pat on how to zoom to a fly's eye ball, and correctly draw each and every lens in the eye. And have it visible after zooming out ..... more »

Ideal laptop for Photoshop
|
| |
I'm looking for opinions on what to look for in a laptop that will be used primarily for Photoshop. I'm waiting for USB 3 and intend to get Windows 7. But things like the processor, RAM, screen size, color controls, graphics card and built-in memory, etc. are going to be important. Price is not an object as long as I get what I pay for. I... more »
