Is there a tool to draw a fading Line?

Was wondering if there's a way to draw a line that fades to transparent,
that is, I'd like to draw a line using the line tool in PS and have it fade
off. I know I can draw a line then mask it off but I'd like to know if
there was a tool or plugin that would facilitate this job... a tool that
could adjust the weight and distance to fade if you know what I mean...

want to start your line. Hold down the Shift key and click again where you want the line
to end (or slightly past). Voila... one straight fading line.

tool (although I prefer the paintbrush) and then go to options....you will
see *fade-*blank*steps*. To draw a long line thats fading you need a fade to
200 to 300 steps depends on how long you want the line
NOW if you want a long straight line (much like the one you will get using
the line tool) just press shift as you drag the line across the workspace
