Photoshop CS6

[RDOC]

Can I install Photoshop CS6 if I am running Windows XP SP3? If not
what must I be using as an OS with how many GB of ram to install it?
Right now I have four gigs of ram installed on Intel i7 core. Thanks

appreciate your explanation which I didn't know those facts. I will
also wait for the official release and give it a try thanks to your
information. I guess than the latest version of Lightroom and Camera
Raw will also work? You are actually saying that you don't have to
have an OS that is a 64 bit installed? Am I reading you right?

I never looked at the specs to see if you need a 64 bit processor
since I'm using a 64 bit proceesor, but I just checked and the specs
say that you need a Pentium 4 processor. The Pentium 4 processors
came in both 32 bit and 64 bit versions. Since the specs don't say
that you need a 64 bit Pentium, I would think that the 32 bit version
would be okay.

Usually, when you buy Photoshop, it comes with both versions on the
disk...the 32 bit version and the 64 bit version. When you go to
install it, it detects which version you need and it installs that
one. Unless something has changed (which I doubt), Adobe still does
this. I mean, there are still many people who are using the 32 bit
version of Windows XP....as well as the 32 bit version of Windows
7.... and they are going to want to install CS6, so I would think that
you'd be fine with it.

I was thinking this, too, but don't know the details about the proceessors
and versions, etc. Also, it sometimes says "recommended" or this would be
best. Like maybe it would work better with more power/memory. I'm not sure
what processor I have (it says Intel on it) it's a 6 year old Dell XPS 400.
I have PS CS3 (which I like and does everything I want at this point) but I
tried the triial version of CS5 when it came out (and it worked). Seems
like I had CS or CS2 on my previous PC that was Windows 98 SE and nothing
special (for power).
