I'm starting a portrait studio at a flea-market. I'm going to be using a
digital camera, inkjet printer, and a three light set-up (two umbrella and a
fill flash).
Anyone familiar with the brands for lights? I don't want the cheapest and
can't afford the best, so that leaves me in the the middle. What names would
you suggest?
Ideas on cameras and printers would be greatly appreciated. I'll be doing a
lot of 8 x 10's, 5 x 7's, that type of prints. How are the olympus or epson
cameras? Thanks in advance.

you might want to post this question to rec.photo.digital, esp. with regards
as to hooking studio strobes to a digicam. does the flee market have
electric for you to plug to?

Just started a digital photography class. We are using an Epson Stylus
2000P, runs about $900. and Epson Archival Photo Paper. Looks real good.

I have been shooting with the Multiblitz line of studio strobes for years
now and I love them. I use them everyday on location and their light weight,
fan cooled, and very durable make them in my opinion the best mono blocks
out there. As for digital cameras I would suggest the Canon D30. It gives
nice results when output onto the Epson 2000P.

Best of luck,

Cliff
