No, photoshop still carries the basic painting objects it always has.
Changing the shape of the brush is about the most exciting thing available.
Although you can buy Deep Paint which is a competitor to Painter and works
as a standalone product and as a plug-in. Depending on what features you're
looking for either Deep Paint or Painter are the options for real painting.
