Anchor points do not stay visible

Hi
I'm having a problem with anchor points in one document. In all my other documents, if I click on an path with the Direct Selection Tool, the anchor points and the control lines (is that the correct name?) become visible and I can alter the shape as needed. However, there is this one document in which if I click the path or an anchor point with the Direct Selection Tool, the anchor points and control lines do not show. They show if I click and drag the anchor point, but I cannot change the control lines because if I release the mouse button, the anchor points and control lines disappear. I suspect that I accidentally changed some setting through a keyboard short cut. What setting would cause this behavior? I'm using Illustrator from CS 3 (13.0.2) on an Intel Mac (running OS X 10.5.8).... more »

If you have various text (mostly in one font but not in same sizes or styles) in many text boxes in a work in progress but you decide you want all text in one font and different to what any of them at present are, and if the new chosen font supports all the sizes and styles, how do you do this quickly?... more »

Hi,
what a pitty that can't upload images here.
I have a map as vector and each county has it's own path (for colouring reason).
Then I used the 3D function to add a cool depth look to it.
No I want to create imagemaps from my counties, but the actual path is not "flat" anymore it has also the 3D depth.... more »

On screen jagged text

On a Mac Illustrator CS4, when there are two layers, the bottom a pure white (but the actual colour might not be relevant as long as it is a colour), the top just some black text. The black text is Arial Regular 14px. The text looks a little jaggedy on screen but less so when the white layer is turned off. Why is this? Is... more »
