I follow hi s instruction quite nively but when it comes to paste in Photoshop I
do not get the window to allow me to paste anywhere but the picture itself. That
of course does spoil the process.
I do work with CS 2 but as I say in edit/paste there is no choice for paths,
please help

Perth can not be sunny, Amsterdam is though;)

Børg, maybe it is because you are copying and pasting?
Just a guess, but why not try saving it as EPS and open it within Photoshop.

I shall try that - I see you borrowed the ø from my mail - very clever.
Incidentally it is 'alt key 0248'. Just to tell you how sunny - we have maybe 5
days per year where we switch on the electric water heater. We always warn
visitors from the north about the possibility of getting scalded with our hot
water, often above 60 centigrades.
My weather judgement comes from being born in Copenhagen and living there
through the war and then spending 38 year in the north of England so the 26
years here have been well earned.

Børg,

The Paste as Path selection has been in Photoshop since version 6 or
so, it's not new. Your issue may be your preferences in Illustrator.

From the Illustrator Main Menu select Illustrator>Prefrences>FIle
Handling and Clipboard. In the dialog there make sure that the PDF and
the AICB (No Transparency Support) options are checked. Otherwise, the
objects from Illustrator will be rasterized when you paste them into
Photoshop.

Hope that solves it for you.

It is danish and I cannot get away from that - only trouble most people, except
in Denmark, cannot pronounse it!

However I still cannot get my computer with the CS2, like Russels, to give me a
choice of pasting so I cannot paste to Paths
